Letter from the Aerie 680 President
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
As we have wrapped up another month together, I want to take a moment to thank each and every one of you for continuing to show what it truly means to be part of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Your support, kindness, and generosity never go unnoticed, and I am incredibly grateful for the strength and unity we continue to build within our Aerie and Auxiliary.
Our recent Chicken BBQ Fundraiser was an incredible success, and I’m thrilled to share that we raised approximately $6,300 through chicken sales, raffles, pull tabs, the bake sale, and heartfelt donations. These funds will go a long way toward supporting the charities chosen by both myself and Amber your Auxiliary president, and it couldn’t have happened without your help.
A very special thank you goes to Jason Loving, Aerie President of Fredericksburg #4123, for presenting us with a generous donation of $1,000 from the 4123 family. Their contribution made a significant impact, and we’re truly appreciative of their support and generosity.
I also want to extend my deepest gratitude to all the amazing ladies who worked tirelessly to organize the basket raffles and create all the delicious treats for our bake sale. Your efforts brought joy, excitement, and a warm touch to the entire event.
A special thank you to the those of you who dedicated your time to helping with the cooking of the chicken as I know it was not easy doing that in the overwhelming heat.
Amber, our dedicated Auxiliary President, and I are already planning our next fundraising event, and we can’t wait to share details with you all soon. Your continued involvement and support are what make these events such a success.
Thank you again for being part of such a passionate and giving community. Let’s keep the momentum going!
Fraternally yours,
Greg Chilafoux,
Aerie President
Letter from the Auxiliary President
Hello Brothers & Sisters,
I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your incredible support and dedication during our Chicken BBQ Luau. Because of your generosity, hard work, and fellowship, we raised over $6,300 for our President’s Charities, The Wounded Warrior Project and The Children’s Advocacy Center!
Your commitment to “People Helping People” never ceases to amaze me. From those who helped plan and organize, to those who donated their time and resources — you all played an important part in making this fundraiser such a success.
I’d also like to give a special shoutout to Jason Loving, Aerie President of Fredericksburg #4123, for their generous donation of $1,000 to put towards our charities. Thank you, to the members of #4123 for leading by example and showing us all what Eagle spirit looks like!
Every dollar raised will make a meaningful difference and truly shows what we can accomplish when we come together. Thank you for continuing to embody the spirit of our Order and for always stepping up to serve our community. I am so proud to stand beside you all and look forward to seeing what we can achieve together next. Greg and I are already in the planning phases of our next event, stay tuned!
August 27th, the Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting our annual dinner, formerly known as Ladies Night Out, at Golden Corral in Waynesboro at 6pm. In honor of Lois Snell, we’ve re-named this event to Lois’s Night Out. She loved this time together and we couldn’t think of a better way to honor her. A sign-up sheet is available at the bar; It will be a night of good company, good food and fun games. You have the option to bring a gift for a Chinese Auction. Please join us for an evening of sisterhood, sign-up by August 20th!
Yours truly,
Amber Wright,
Madam President
