Brothers and Sisters, 

Where did March go!? Spring is here (Hopefully!) and I hope everyone has enjoyed our events in March and especially our fresh new social room. On March 18th a group of over 20 people endured a big task of brightening up our Aerie. A big thank you to all that helped, big or small. Thanks to our ceiling guys, hopefully you’re still not hurting.

I am so thankful for the support and great turnout for our Chili Cook Off. 16 crock pots of different chilis and also bake goods! I ate a cup of each one & all were delicious. We were able to raise over $1400!! Our winners were: 1st place – Mike Vetrano, 2nd place—Leta Floyd & 3rd place — Donna Lane. Congratulations! 

I pray everyone had a blessed Easter and look for-ward to April with you all. April 20th we celebrate 120 years as an Aerie. Country Kitchen will be our meal @ 6pm. With “attitude adjustment” (aka Happy Hour) @5pm. If possible, let Lois Snell know by text or call (540-649-4466) if you plan to attend so we can get an estimated head count.

Hello my Sisters and Brothers:

We are getting ready to celebrate a big milestone for Elliott’s Knob #680. This wonderful organization has been running like a well oiled machine for 120 years. Imagine that!

See more information about the celebration in other areas of this newsletter. We initiated several members this month. Please welcome new members Jaime Loan, Julie Sandridge, Rebecca Smith and Wanda Tolley. Also welcome back Glenda Dewitt, a re-enrollee. 

Don’t forget to pay your dues if your membership card has an expiration date of 5/31/2024!! 

PLEASE: I need to know when you have changed anything… name, address or phone number. Call me, email me or leave info at the bar please. If you do not notify me, then I may not be able to contact you with important information. And that information needs to be complete and correct because the dues are coming due soon. 

Also many of you joined prior to having emails. I need that information. The best way to get that to me is to send me an email at reesepolly@comcast.net, That way I can be sure I have your email correct. Also please keep us informed of any illness or family sickness or death by contacting any of the officers or leaving a note at the bar, or by contacting me at the number below. We cannot offer help, visit or do anything to help you if we do not know. 

Remember our military and our sick and shut-ins in your prayers. Let’s continue to be “People Helping People”!
